Unusual Home Design – Jorge Guedes House

Jorge Guedes House is an Unusual Home Designed by 100 Planos Arquitectura, located in Vila Pouca de Aguiar, Portugal. This house was designed based on the desire of young couples who had purchased a piece of land and want to build a single floor house on it with the lowest possible cost. This land has a view that is quite beautiful, and this became the core of this project. In the first sketch become clear that the home should be a sort of leap into the void, the volume that the project itself into the landscape.

Located on top of a valley, Jorge Guedes’s house, appears as a large picture window that covers the landscape. The building rises from the principles of volumetric aggregation patent in vernacular architecture of the region.
