Matryoshka House is an Modern Home Designed by David Jameson Architect, located in Bethesda, Maryland, USA. This little house is arranged as a series of volumes nested one inside the other. At the core of this volume there is a meditation chamber made floating in the middle of the volume.

This Modern Home Design is a two-storey house with an attractive design. Living spaces such as living room, dining room and kitchen are located on the first floor. Meanwhile, more private such as bedrooms located on the second floor. But what makes this Modern Home Design different is because this house has a Meditation chamber that lies floating on the second floor. Meditation chamber in the form of a floating box is acting as a physical and spiritual center of this project. Internal energy of the meditation chamber is packed in an open frame shines. A staircase with a unique design made of iron plate becomes the entrance to the meditation chamber.

Meditation room is surrounded by a wooden container that surrounds the living areas of this Modern Home Design. This shell is in turn embraced by a stucco wall that serves as a protective layer and the foundation of the house to the earth. The in-between spaces of the nested volumes are strategically sliced to allow the sun to project lines of light within. By separating the three shells, the interstitial spaces allow light to become an architectural material that activates the interior.
