Minimalist Home Design - Pekapeka House by Parsonson Architects

This minimalist home was designed by Parsonson Architects, located in Pekapeka Beach, New Zealand. This is it very minimalis house, which is built to capture beautiful landscapes and combining some room to save space, but still comfortable. This holiday home is an exploration in how to create a building of both a strong architectural character and economy.

We have used simple modular construction techniques combined with a very simple form. The plan is a rectangle and is divided into 3 parts, the solid bedroom forms at each end support a floating roof over the living space in between. living space here used to living room, dining room and kitchen in one place, with views of hills and the sea on both sides.

This layout allows sunlight entered the house all day, for passive solar heating of the concrete slab and creates a sheltered outside space on the east side that still keeps a strong connection to the western sea views. Via.
